Days until draft, still no deal done for Lions

Detroit has noted it's desire to sign the upcoming #1 pick early the entire off season. There is just two days until the draft and still no deal is done.

Matthew Stafford is going to be the #1 pick..IF his agent gets a deal done. Reports have come out that state the Lions have a deal done with Aaron Curry if the Stafford one does fall through.

Detroit fans are hoping that Staffords agent wants tons of money, because they all want Curry. If I was Detroit I'd just move on from Stafford. Sure you may be getting a franchise QB, but wasn't that Joey Harrington as well? When you are 0-16 you have tons of holes and Curry seems to be the safest pick in the entire draft.

Next years QB class will also be alot better than this years in my opinion. Culpepper has also lost weight and is in just as good if not better shape than he was when he was putting up monster numbers. I really dislike Culpepper but I'd rather have him under center this year.

The draft takes place at 4:00 PM on Saturday. It will be televised on ESPN.

I think you'll be surprised when I post my mock draft later on tonight or tomorrow afternoon with who goes #1.

I won't be that surprised, because It's either going to be Stafford or Curry lol.

Hopefully you surprise me with Curry going #1, That will make me happy.

It's going to be one of those two, Smith is probably less than a 1% chance of being #1.
